Drum shot blast machines

Technical data

Possible applications of AGTOS drum shot blast machines (type TS)

The AGTOS drum blasting system combines a proven principle with state-of-the-art technology and is ideal for the drum blasting of bulk materials and small parts. Our shot blasting machines offer important advantages over conventional systems, such as the troughed belt principle. As the drum is made from a single piece, transitions from moving to fixed machine parts are avoided. This ensures that no parts are jammed and that the drum is completely emptied after the blasting process. This avoids double processing of the workpieces.

Efficient solutions for small parts and bulk goods

Our barrel blast machines offer particularly high wear resistance as perforated manganese steel is used. The size of the holes adapts to the dimensions of the workpieces as well as the grain size and quantity of the abrasive. Design improvements ensure optimum mixing of the workpieces during barrel blasting, which makes the blasting process even more efficient.

How it works

Operating sequence for drum shot blast machines

The diagram on the left shows the path of the workpieces through the AGTOS blasting system. You can count on us to always consider the optimal solution for your workpiece. In doing so, we take into account the factors of time, cost and material. This is how you optimise your production.

The workpieces are unloaded into a feeder and carefully transferred to the barrel blast machine. The blasting machine starts the blasting process by bringing the drum into the optimum position in front of the high-performance turbines. The control can be set by PLC or manually. This prevents damage. During the process, the drum rotates continuously so that all workpieces are blasted thoroughly and evenly.
1
Barrel blasting begins and continues until all workpieces have been thoroughly mixed and blasted all around. The inside of the blast chamber is lined with materials that are highly resistant to the steel blast media. During the blasting process, the door remains tightly closed and can only be opened again once the blasting chamber is dust-free. This takes approx. 10-15 seconds. The dust generated during blasting is extracted by a slight vacuum during the blasting process and separated in the associated filter system.
2
Once barrel blasting is complete, the workpieces are discharged onto a sieve conveyor, where they are separated from the blast media and transferred to collecting containers. This makes the entire process particularly efficient and reliable.
